SymbaSyd is an artist roaring from the Southside of Chicago, IL. Raised around African-American art of all kinds, she quickly became a product of the creative energy that surrounded her. With her exposure to Jazz, R&B, and Hip-Hop, SymbaSyd’s style is a fusion of Neo-Soul, Rap, and Hip-Hop. She calls it “Rugg-ed R&B.”

"When I was little, my grandmother would turn on the radio in the kitchen and play instrumental blues/jazz. She'd ask me, "what's it saying?" and I would have no idea what she meant by that. As I got older, I started to understand that even when there aren't words, music speaks. Ever since then, I've always aimed to write what it was saying to me."

As I’ve deepened my relationship with God, I’ve grown to learn how much my blessings are never just for me. I aim to leave nothing behind by the time I leave this earth. Like the late great Chadwick Boseman once said, "Honestly, Grammys and stuff would be dope victories along the way, but as long as I was able to inspire, reach, and do well with what I’ve been blessed with that’s all that matters!"
